We always welcome general donations to Mother’s Choice, which we then apply to the place where it is needed most. If you prefer to give to a specific services or programs, we will be happy to put your donation to work helping your favorite part of Mother’s Choice.
Donate to Pregnant Girls Services
We’ll call her Grace... A thin girl with long hair, she became pregnant at 13, had an abortion her parents never knew about and then at 14 she was pregnant again. She describes the person she was then as “a useless girl.” She called Mother's Choice, feeling that she could not face another abortion and wanting, for once, to be “worthy of her baby.” She lived with us and, with her counseling social worker, focused on the hard choices ahead of her. We emphasized that parenting at such a young age is extremely difficult, that the realities of being a single mother in Hong Kong are hard. We also counseled Grace’s parents and brought the family back around her so that her parents could be there for the baby, too. Grace had a healthy baby girl at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, joined our Mother's Choice Single Mother’s Support Group and was one of its most enthusiastic participants. Recently we learned that Grace is going back to school to finish her high school degree. She tells us that she wants to become a social worker.
Mother’s Choice was the Key to Grace’s future, and that of her baby…
And behind each Grace there are one hundred more girls we are working hard to help. When Mother’s Choice was founded, loving care of pregnant teens was our first service, and it is still at the heart of our work. But the needs in Hong Kong are much greater than we can meet…so we are asking urgently for your help.
Counseling and healing in the safe, nurturing environment of Mother's Choice will enable many young women like Grace, and their babies, to face the future with hope.

Donate to Child Care Home
The sad news first… Every one of the more than 100 babies and children who lived with us in our Child Care Home this past year came to us with a story of loss and separation from a mother who could not keep him or her…
Now the good news… Every one of these babies receives a new home and loving parents within a few weeks or months. Until that day, our Mother’s Choice staff and volunteers give them love and devoted care, so each little one is healthy, happy, and well-prepared for life in a new family!
Your Donation will give the comfort of soft sheets, cuddling and lullabies, for the babies who will sleep in this cot.

Donate to Foster Care & Small Group Homes
Help a child with special needs get a loving foster home!
Many people have the heart to foster a child; and many Hong Kong families are trained to foster through the Mother’s Choice Foster Care Program. Some exceptional families are willing to foster special needs children, but sometimes it’s the small things that prevent them — such as extra costs involved with transporting a child several times each month to hospital appointments or surgery follow-ups. A small amount of funding can make the difference that provides a caring family for a child. Help us bridge the gap!

Donation to Open Hearts to Adoption
Mother’s Choice has helped thousands of children, including 200 children with special needs, to join loving, forever families through adoption. Going beyond our support of each child and family, we educate and work to open hearts to adoption all across society.
This is important work for which we receive no other funding.
Be Our Adoption Angel! Your support will help us to promote acceptance and understanding of adoption in Hong Kong through:
- Adoption workshops and classes
- Translation and publishing of books on adoption
(there are almost no resources available in Chinese)
- Encouraging adoption of children with special needs
